I have made some hats ready for the shoeboxes again but need to sew in the ends.

  I want to wish all of you a Happy and prosperous New Year.  I have been so busy since just before Christmas.  I have done some crochet just not had time to post on here.  I will try and bring my blog up to date. 

I made this bus pass as somebody had asked me about making one and i made it up as I went along and this is the good results achieved.

Above is a hook case I decided to make. It was not so easy but I did manage to get it done. Below is the hook case shown opened with my hooks inside.  It was a lovely pattern too.

sorry i have neglected this recently but been busy trying to get some things made for the shoebox appeal. Below are 2 bags which i made earlier but did not have any buttons for them.  I forgot about them and found them again just in time as now I have some buttons and there were 2 suitable to use  so praise God these are now complete.

I will post a pic of all the hats and bags for the shoebox appeal when i get it taken as I have made others recently.  I am still working on some little bags.  I now have found some more bangles in my charity shop and can make another 3 bags.  Here is a couple of pics of what I have made.

I am making another pair of leg warmers with a different pattern to see which one works out best. 

Now to find the other photos to show you. ok  below are the two pairs of leg warmers i made.  these will be lovely and warm in the winter this year. 

     i made this lariat too and instead of putting on buttons found these pretty items

when i tried to come here to post some pics now i have some more to share the site could not be found.  now it is working again so i can find my pics and show you what i have been making recently. 

below is a shawl which i designed myself. it came out ok and i just wanted something to put around my shoulders.

another shawl i made which was vicki's pattern and it is longer at the back also in pink but i used crochet dk cotton to make it.  it is a beatiful texture too.

I will show you more another time.  i have made a lariat and been making some leg warmers too.

I forgot to post a picture of me wearing my sleeveless top i made recently.  it was made with aran and i really liked the pretty pattern.   It was meant to be a cardigan for my daughter but there was not enough wool to make it as it used far more on the back than I thought it would.  i made this before the baby coat which i showed you last time.

i think that is all my pics so far as i am now making another baby coat like one i made last year but in a different colour.  I will soon be able to post the picture of it here.

i have made another baby item  this is a baby random coat and i enjoyed making it.  such a pretty pattern on the front and yesterday went to the market to get some buttons.  they cost 3p each.

Sorry for the delay in updating my blog but i did not realise till recently that i had a really slow processor on my pc which made it work so slowly and recently have acquired a better pc so now i have some catching up to do here.  i have made a lot of hats now for the shoeboxes and also some bags for children.  that reminds me i still need to find a couple of buttons for 2 bags.   i will get pics done when i have them on the bags.  i have the pic now for the hats i made.

oh yes and i have finished some wips which were 2 headscarves one for my daughter and one for myself.

I need to check out and see if i have missed any pics.  i have nearly finished another project which i have been making over the last few weeks.   hoping to get the pic taken today.

I have been very busy as i have started a group for prayer warriors now.   God helped me to do this as a suddenly as i never planned anything.  only started 27 March but it going well.   i have 26 members too. Praise the Lord for He is good

BELOW IS A HAT FOR THE SHOEBOXES AND IT CAME OUT SMALLER THAN I THOUGHT IT WOULD.  THAT IS OK AS IT WILL FIT A VERY YOUNG HEAD.  I HAVE NOW MADE A BIGGER ONE BUT NEED TO GET A PIC TAKEN.

thank you to all who visited and left such lovely comments.  i have been busy lately praying for folks on a christian chat site at sure foundation.  

i must get some more postings on here now too.   it is good to see people have been viewing my blog. It is so encouraging.

i made another scarf in the same pattern as the one i gave away so i have a copy for my records and this one is in pink. 

i made 9 neck warmers to give to Romania and have finished another one for myself as i gave the others away.  the church needed them for someone to take with them this weekend so they went off last week. 

here are the neck warmers i made recently including a lilac one i am wearing which i made after giving the others away

now i am making some more bags maybe without the hearts this time to go to third world countries in the shoe boxes later in the year as there is plenty of time to get them made.    will post more pics as i can.

i was not here last saturday so have to catch up with my posting.

here is a pic of my recent bargain from a charity shop which cost me a total of £4.

I have been busy making some more neck scarves as they want them for people in Romania.   Last week on Saturday I went with my son to visit his Auntie   my sister in law and as she is in her eighties i wanted to give her something i had made but did not know what she would like.  Anyway,  i took my neck warmers with me as i was working on them and needed to finish them off by weaving in those little ends. 

She has broken her wrist so when i showed them to her she liked the pink one which is shown here with me wearing it.  she cannot put jumpers on and so this is ideal.  she had found like me that scarves move and do not stay in place,  so priase God that i could bless her with this one and i have now made another in the same colour.  they work up so quickly as she discovered when she saw mine growing while i was there and finished yet another one.   then she says to me you're not starting another one are you and i said i have lots to make and can put it down any time.  we were there a long time to keep her company as she cannot cope with looking after her husband at the moment and it was upsetting for her knowing that he was not happy.   she says she will wear it out when she goes to age concern.

undeneath is a pin cushion i made from a pattern on the net and serves a double purpose as i wanted somewhere to place some safety pins.

this chic on the half shell bag was on crochetville designed by a great designer.
